2011 International CES
ST. GEORGE, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wilson Electronics manufacturer of North America’s top-selling line of cell phone signal boosters, has announced a new product group of 4G signal boosters scheduled for release in early 2011.
“Wilson’s booster should help with coverage issues many residents in these areas are sure to face.”
The new line will include models based on 700 MHz LTE, WiMAX and AWS 4G frequencies. The first product release, expected to ship by mid-Q1 2011, is the Wilson 4G AWS, which boosts signals on the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum band.
The 4G AWS is designed for indoor installation and is expected to have a suggested retail price of $399.00. In the U.S., it will extend connection range and increase data transfer speeds in weak signal areas for devices that support T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The 4G AWS will also provide signal boost for customers of various other rural wireless carriers that use the AWS band for fixed broadband service.
“The 4G AWS booster should provide the most benefit to customers in rural areas who are hoping to use AWS as a replacement to the slower, satellite Internet connections currently available,” said Joe Banos, COO of Wilson Electronics. “Wilson’s booster should help with coverage issues many residents in these areas are sure to face.”
Wilson also expects to release later in 2011 mobile signal boosters that will amplify signal for current cellular bands, as well as 4G bands in the same device.
The 4G boosters will be on display during the 2011 International CES in Las Vegas, in booth #35503 of the South Hall, upper level.
